Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter, born July 23rd 1970 was an American actress. She was Cordelia Chase in the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999), and the spin-off series Angel (1999–2004). She also appeared on Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablancas (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012 strong>
Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada) as the daughter of Christine Carpenter, an employee at a bird sanctuary, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is from Spanish (from her maternal grandmother), French, German and German descent. Carpenter attended the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.[6Carpenter was part of a song and dance troupe that was active in Las Vegas Valley at nine years old.
Carpenter was Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosarito Beach, Baja California in Mexico, and later relocated to San Diego, California. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was a frequent traveler throughout Europe after graduating. After returning to San Diego, she worked as a video store clerk, aerobics instructor and as a property manager. In 1991, she played cheerleader with the San Diego Chargers. In 1992, she relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles.
In the water in San Diego in 1991, she and two male friends were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., who was a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them with a gun. Both her friends and Hubbard were both shot during the fight. Hubbard fled the scene and her two friends survived. Hubbard was arrested, found guilty and sentenced to 56 years in prison for a series of rapes and robberies. Carpenter took Hubbard his police-issue flashlight to the beach. This flashlight proved to be crucial evidence in the case against Hubbard.
Carpenter was named No. Carpenter was ranked No. 31 on AskMen’s Top 99 Desirable Women 2002[30]. 44 on their list of 2005. Carpenter stated that she does not think of herself as a sex icon despite this. Carpenter was featured on the cover as well as in a 10-page naked pictorial in the June 2004 issue of Playboy magazine. When she was asked by People magazine in 2005 whether she'd ever appear on Playboy again, she said, "I don't know. I signed up for Playboy for a very specific reason. It wasn't just an effective financial choice and a good choice for me, but it was also about the place I was at on my journey. I had just had my son and I'd gained 50 pounds during pregnancy. I wanted to look like my old self again. I wanted to look beautiful and attractive. I was thinking: "What if you went to the max?"
