Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting ability at the at the time. At her first attempt she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix finished her high school year in 2003 and signed with Adidas a contract as an athlete in professional competition. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to take home the 200 meters race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third in each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
